Pringle of Scotland, founded in 1815 by Robert Pringle, is one of the oldest luxury goods labels in the world.

Produced in Hawick Scotland, the center of the Scottish knitwear industry, Pringle is known for their luxurious, soft knits. Worn throughout the years by such style icons as Grace Kelly, David Beckham, Tilda Swinton and Gene Kelly, the fabled knitwear company is as timeless as it is chic.

Several fashion stalwarts originated at Pringle. The intarsia design, known today as the Pringle signature argyle pattern, was created by the company in the 1920s and immediately adopted by the duke of Windsor and the fashionable set of the time.

Pringle also took a sporty two-piece cardigan and sweater set from the golf course and retailored it to create the 'twinset', thus a classic British style icon was born.

In 2005, Clare Waight Keller, formerly of Ralph Lauren and Gucci, joined the company as creative director. She updated Pringle's signature knits with a fresh, elegant touch, and redefined the label as a contemporary fashion brand. In March 2011, she was succeeded by Alistair Carr, formerly of Balenciaga, who melds his passion for cutting edge and contemporary luxury design with the desire to explore and find inspiration in the rich heritage of Pringle.

Pringle's fall collection, inspired by the company's rich archives from the '50s and '60s, features designs that reference classic themes, reinterpreted with an urban and modern attitude.
